Does anyone know anything about white sun spots and how can one get rid of them?

II. Treatment:

The newest treatment for lentigines is alpha hydroxy acid gel and beta hydroxy acid gel. The lotion or cream is applied to the spots each night and in the morning.

Topical vitamin C treatment is effective for treating sun spots. Topical vitamin C works well when used in combination with alpha hydroxyacids.

Another treatment for lentigines is Retin-A. Retin-A cream is applied to the spots once a day for six months. This will cause lightening of large age spots and will make small ones disappear. Retin-A cream can be used in combination with alpha hydroxyacid.

Lentigines can also be treated with an alpha hydroxyacid peel. This involves applying a mild acid to the skin and then allowing the skin to heal. Chemical peels work best in people with blue eyes and light hair, but can be effective in all skin types. This is the second fastest way to get rid of age spots.

Liquid nitrogen therapy is the quickest way to get rid of lentigines. Liquid nitrogen is air that is so cold that it is in liquid form (-321潞F). The health care provider sprays the liquid nitrogen onto the age spot and this causes the mark to turn white a month or so after treatment. When liquid nitrogen is sprayed onto the skin, it can sting and may cause a permanent white spot or scar.Does anyone know anything about white sun spots and how can one get rid of them?

If you are refering to pinkish/white skin markings make sure you consult your GP before trying any sort of treatment to remove them. You may find that it is a dermatological condition that may be irritated by creams etc.

Other than that there are many ';skin tone evening'; products availabe from chemists, and laser treatment is most likely the more effective option.
As you probably already know, white sun spots are caused by overexposure to the sun and more technically from a skin fungus called tinea versicolor. Especially common with the way the ozone layer is disappearing these days. There is a brand called ';Body Drench'; they make a product called ';Wipe Out'; which was designed specifically for white sun spots. You apply the gel to the spots twice a day. You will see results in about three weeks. I would look online for this product first. I think you can only get it online or through a salon or spa. I hope this helps you.
you've got sun damage. Sometimes you lose even pigmentatiom from too much sun exposure/burns. STOP TANNING NOW. The only way to get rid of them is to avoid tanning-just stay fair--it's way more beautiful--use ocean potion sunblockspf50 from wal mart.
