My sister went to the Doctor for that problem and they recommended to put cocoa butter on your scars and spots and it helps smooth your skin and make them disappear. I don't know about covering them up... do you want to wear makeup? BUt you could try fading them with salicylic acid lotions, like Neutrogena on the spot, or clean and clear gel, or a product that contains glycolic acid.
You need a really good concealer, dont go for cheap companies that you can get makeup for like 10 bucks, you need a good quality one like lancome or clinique.
