i had bad acne because i pop and pick them (im now trying to stop) but right now i have red spots all over my face i want to know how to get rid of them. proactive does not work for me it made me break out more

Ahh most products are useless, sudocrem is probably the best though. If you shave make sure you not using a razor with more than 2 blades because too many layers of skin are removed, and don't shave up untill the spots heal, only down the grain. Spots form because bacteria can accumulate in the pores, which are opened during shaving. So make sure the blades are new or sterilised.


Apart from that, i've found that if you eat a lot of food with sugary and fatty contents, spots are more likely to develop. So tell the crips so ';push off';, aswell as the pop, instead drink an absolute load of water to flush out the body, and eat more nutrients in foods such as salads and such.


You should see a difference, and you'll feel much better.
If you have constant, severe acne, i would reccommend going to see a dermatologist. They can prescribe the best medication to help your acne. If your acne is mild to moderate, or you only get occasional breakouts, try using OTC acne products. (proactiv didn't work for me either) THere really is no ';magical'; product that will banish your acne forever, you just have to experiment with different products and brands. I do recommend Clean and Clear ULTRA products They are expensive (cheaper than proactiv though!) but they do work well. Also Clean and Clear's Persa-gel is great for on the spot acne treatment.
I didn't like Proactive either! I now use Murad, it has a lotion in the kit that helps clear up blemish's, like red spots and prevents them from coming back!!! Good luck.
I have the same problem too, i would use a face pad 2 times a day a use the clean and clear kit too.
