Does diet effect spots and acne in teenagers?

No. It has no effect. (Unless you're actually allergic to something or are not getting enough of the nutrients required for healthy skin)

The first person most likely just grew out of acne as most usually do.

This is because the number one cause of acne during your teens is hormones and once you reach about 20 your hormones settle down (and so does your skin)

The only time oily and sugary foods will effect your skin is if you touch your face after eating without washing your hands. This goes for all dirt and grime and grease, not just those that come from food.Does diet effect spots and acne in teenagers?
Yes, what you eat does have an effect on spots and acne from appearing. Too much of oily, junk food, chocolates and cooked carbohydrates and fats can be a cause for acne to surface. Eating the right kinds of foods will reduce sebum production, increase good moisture in the skin and help the production of new skin cells.

Fresh fruits, vegetables and raw fats (avocadoes, olives, olive oil) are the best to have in your diet to be acne free.Does diet effect spots and acne in teenagers?
Apparently, there's no medical evidence that diet has anything to do with spots/acne- but I personally think it does.

I've matured enough not to get many spots at all anymore- but when I was younger and had quite a lot of spots/mild acne, I changed my diet and cut down on sweet things- and also drank lots of water; this worked for me and reduced the amount of spots i'd get!

Hope this helps (:
