Will exfoliating get rid of dark spots?

on my knees, elbows, and underarms. Im getting this exfoliating stuff from bath and body works and i just want to know if it'll get rid of my dark spots or what does exfoliation do??Will exfoliating get rid of dark spots?
Exfoliating sloughs off dead skin cells. It might help, depending on what the spots are. They might be blackheads, you might need to use those clear pore strips that you can buy in most shops, and use them where the problem is. Neutrogena also do a great blackad clearing scrub, for your face, but it should have the same effect on your problem areas! If the spots are more flat against your skin, like a birthmark rather than a pimple, you won;t be able to scrub them off. exfoliation might help but what it is used for is to get rid of old skin cells. But it does help some people with spots.
