Is the mole protruding from the skin? If so, a RN or dermatologist would actually cut that off. You shouldn't. They should.

If it's just a dark spot on your body, you can probably lighten it. Along with freckles,.. or any scarring.

Two things I suggest:

Chemical peels and microdremabrasion.

A chemical peel is when an esthetician or dermatologist (but mainly estheticians) put a chemical or acid solution on your skin. They'll put 3 or so layers on,.. depending on how much you can handle. For some people, it burns slightly. For me, it was nothing. :) It's about a 30 minute procedure. After about a day or so, you'll start to peel. They'll give you instructions on how to care for it. It'll last maybe 3 days. But after that, your skin is alot brighter, smoother, and healthier. What a chemical peel does is that it gets down into your pores and pushes off all of the dead skin, bacteria, etc off (hence you peel.) It's an AMAZING procedure if you want to reduce the appearance of spots on your face. I use it for scars. It'll take about 6 of these procedures to make you skin appear spot free.

A microdermabrasion is when an esthetician or dermatologist use a machine with little crystals (but not sharp ones) to scrape off the dead layers of skin. Don't let this scare you. I'm not very good at explaining it. It doesn't cut into your skin. It just lightly scrapes over the top layers. A lot of people like this procedure because if you can't take time off of work, school, etc, there's no down time for healing so nobody will even know you had the procedure done because you don't peel or anything. And it has the same effect as a chemical peel. However, I prefer the peel.

Removing dead layers of skin cells is good because then you'll get down to healthy, fresh skin cells. Obviously, the dead layers on top are damaged because you have freckles, spots, etc. So removing those layers is the way to get rid of those things.

You could also use a creme with hydroquinone (a lightening agent used for skin care) in it. It doesn't have a dramatic effect like the peel or microderm, but over time, you should see them lighten. You could use this creme along with getting a chemical peel or microderm.

Look for a Med-Spa or dermatologist office for any of these things. A chemical peel and microderm are both a little under a 100 bucks per procedure.

Be sure to use SPF of atleast 15 to avoid any more damage to your skin. :)

Hope this helps. :)

Good luck!
there is no surgery to get rid of spots. :/

but to remove mine i went to a private dermatologist and went on roaccutane, its the best treatment going.

and for freckles - there are special creams you can buy which help fade the colour of them. but they dont really work to well.

and as for the moles - if theyre really bad, your local hospital should remove them for you but theyre useless sometimes so go private.

and if you meant that you had scars from the spots you should have a chemical peel done which helps removes the scars but do not use this on the moles.

This blog is very informative. The size of the mole may involve a number of risks in the removal procedure. Ensure to consult a dermatologist before removing moles in order to avoid any risks.
