this may sound obvious but maintaining a healthy water intake works wonders. covering up with make up will certainly hide the spot but it wont get rid of it. it'll just clog up the pore and make it worse in the long run.

Wash twice a day, Dont apply oils to the face, Use an over the counter product, and apply toothpaste to the affected areas. Toothpaste actually works really well.
